Gringo's Isla Trip-not counting but Part #4

My friend and I had made plans after a beach day to meet at Bamboo for a drink and grab a quick bite before meeting his friend's at the Ferry.I ordered the chicken satay dinner with peanut sauce dip which came with rice and some really nice soft garlic bread, mmm.I also tried a bit of charred black grouper which was just excellent and I usually never eat fish. Thanks Juan!!!
We got to the Ferry a bit late as Todd & Melissa had already arrived and looked around a bit for Rob but we found them waiting at the ferry bar with drink's in hand.

Todd & Melissa had been to Isla once before but stayed at the Avalon all inclusive but my friend Rob had told them that they would miss out on all the great things that Isla had to offer. So now that they were back they were staying at a regular downtown Hotel on Isla to take in the flavour of the people, food and surroundings.
We took them to drop off their bags and then on to check out the Argentinan Bar & Hildago Street
The next day it was really windy, did I say windy!
I couldn't beleive it could be that bad so I walked out to Hildalgo to check out how strong the wind was and totally got sand blasted, you could not walk along Medina without a serious micro-dermabrasion peel happening, lol!.
We opted for Playa Norte and sat our behinds down at Sunset Grill for the day where it was surprisingly calm and hot-hot-hot!

Beach Vendor Lady

After a great day of sunning, swimming & serveza (I know but I wanted all S's).That's where I stepped on a little crab that pinched my foot and that is really weird cause when I have looked for them in the water they always scuttle away really fast, weird.
Below is a picture of Playa Sol and it looks like sand dunes here after the big wind.I have seen worse on some trip reports but this reminded me of the moon and so desolate too.

Beach after Wind Storm

Walking along Playa Norte you would never know there was a huge wind storm along Playa Sol area.

Out later I met some friend's at Miguel's for a drink and then dinner who are all crazy, fun people (hola guys if you read this).

We had a drink and they had told me how great Justica Social was so we walked up there for dinner but wouldn't you know it, it was closed. We thought maybe we would try Piccus but all the beach side tables were taken so we wandered over to Hildalgo and decided on Bamboo for dinner which is always good.We had an awesome dinner and then moved on over to Adelita to listen to the band and of course have some tequila,OH-OH!
