Our last morning on Isla was sunny and beautiful, but a little windy. We really wanted to go snorkeling, so we ate a quick breakfast at our hotel, and headed to the ferry dock area. We asked about a trip, and were told they were going our around 11am. We needed to check out of our room at 1, so we didn't have enough time. We made it about halfway out when one of the guys stopped us and said he'd take just the two of us out. We immediately headed out on "La Jesusita" to the Sac Bajo area. I took a picture of the boat in case we didn't make it back.
The snorkeling there was great-nice and calm, lots and lots of colorful fish. I took a ton of pictures, they didn't really turn out too great. After snorkeling there for about 45 minutes, we got back in the boat and headed to El Farito. There was a snorkeling tour immediately ahead of us at El Farito-our boat driver told us to try to stick by them-but we were too slow I think. It was pretty choppy, tough swimming the whole time we were there. We have issues navigating while snorkeling, so the whole go to the rock, follow the buoy thing was tough. But, it was gorgeous. We saw lot of these lovely looking fish.
After snorkeling, we picked up our laundry at Angel's, and had a pineapple water at Mene Mene before packing our bags and heading to the ferry.
We had such a great time on Isla. I was worried that we(my sister really) would get bored, so we decided to go to Playa del Carmen for the second half of our trip-we really regretted that decision. We enjoyed Playa, just not as much as Isla, although we had much better service at the beach club we hung out at. I had done so much research on our trip, and had planned so many places to see and eat at, and we didn't get to do even half of it. Guess I'll just have to come back soon!
