It’s been a few weeks since I’ve returned from Isla. My first report was all about the airport. Now that’s out of the way, I’ll get down to the days and nights spent on my favorite little island. After repeated comments from family and friends about traveling to Mexico (after all the talk about drugs and violence), I scoffed and rolled my eyes. Anyway, THEY don’t need to know the best place in the world to visit anyways!!! After the airport stress, I hop on the Ferry (after the cabbie brought me to the new ferry after I had asked for the old ferry (how does one ask for that one in Spanish by the way?)
My first thing I did when I got off ferry was get a bottle of OJ from the man who has the cart, there is nothing better than the fresh taste!
I walked to my apt., say hello to my Isla friends, put on shorts and saw the sky was beginning to turn the sky pinkish/orange, so I grabbed my camera and headed to the beach.
My first meal was at my favorite restaurant Bally Hoo( no picture taken on this meal, was too busy scrarfing it down before I remembered) picture taken another time I ate there. Grouper tacos……yummmmmy
Stuffed, happy, tired, I went to the grocery store, grabbed a few items and went to sleep, listening to the breeze, smiling knowing it was a beautiful start to a wonderful week ahead!
More to come.........
