February 14 – March 9
Day 11 Sunday February 24
“A Fun Day At The Beach!”
Well, this is the day that I stopped taking notes…told everyone, ‘don’t worry, you don’t have to behave ‘cause I’m not doing trip reports’. Not sure how I got talked into doing them again, but now the pictures will tell the story, because I sure can’t rely on my memory!
As usual, the sun did rise…not overly impressive, but very calming…
After a quick breakfast we head straight for the beach. We’ve been on holiday for 10 days already and don’t have much of a tan yet, so it’s time to get to work!
This looks like a great way to spend a day…
We lounge, drink, siesta for a while and then the gang decides it’s time to have some fun again. Out they go on the dock to give a free performance…
Give us your best pose!
They look professional!
All of us on shore are duly impressed..
Well, that worked up an appetite so it’s time for parmesan fish fillet. Yummm!
A bird joins us on the beach for some suntanning too….
Anyone have a spare pair of sunglasses…he finds it a little bright out!
Too bad Brenda didn’t have an extra pair!...(you had to be there!)
The afternoon passes with the usual roast, flip, drink, snooze and then it’s time for some fun again.
What do you get when you add 3 mischievous amigos on a dock…
And a boat full of unsuspecting day trippers?...
All in good fun…the captain blew the horn and the trippers clapped and cheered!
By the time we leave the beach later our ‘cheeks’ were sore from laughing so much! No photos of the sunset so it must have been uneventful once again. We sure weren’t lucky with sunrises or sunsets this time...the good ones were few and far between.
We meet the gang at our favourite watering hole, Miguel’s for our usual pompoms..
After several rounds we end up at Rolandi’s for dinner. Still not my favourite place but we usually go there once each holiday just to see if the service has improved. Nope! It hasn’t, but the food is okay and luckily, the company is great!
I’m sure we indulged in ice cream after dinner with our usual stroll up and down Hidalgo, and the stars twinkled overhead as we made our way back to the Roca Mar…the end to another ‘mucho funno’ day!
