Here Goes Nothing...Playa Norte Ho...April 19th, 2008

My writing gets sketchy for the rest of the trip so I will improvise from memory. I think we were just having too much fun for me to write..

We did manage to drag our butts out of bed for one sunrise.......Hey, I just love how I sleep down here.
After one last walk down to Punta Sur, we gave goodbye pets to Charlie and Gato...sniff sniff. The owner kindly called us a taxi to help us haul our stuff to our next home on Playa Media Luna. The taxi driver turned out to be Plu, who we met for the first time on this trip.

We rented both units of the bungalows in anticipation of Johns sister and initially for anyone else who could figure out how to join us. This is the front view. These are now owned and rented by the Media Luna Hotel next door.

Back view...our own private stretch of white powder...

Once there we quickly made friend with the black cat who obviously lives here (do you see a pattern?) and who I named "Gatty", sort of like "Kitty" in english.

He was so sweet as was the small dog with the gimpy front leg. They became our good friends for the week. The only problem with Gatty was her eating disorder. She could not get enough food and would just wolf down anything I put in front of her. I would support her appetite with cat food from the grocery for the rest of the week.

This is the first property where there is no WiFi but John, ever resourceful, hijacked it from the Media Luna Hotel next door....shhhhhh!

Tonight we had dinner at Miguels Moonlight and tried the famed Pomegranite Margs everyone raves about at 2X1. Sorry if I am offending anyone but I prefer regular tequila and lime. We ate the pork chops veracruz and shrimp tacos which were delicious! Miguel seems like a very nice guy. I thought the margs were a little weak but to Miguels credit its probably just us....we just need more alcohol than usual since we have been drinking EVERYDAY!!! Johns has become fond of his little joke. When everyone asks us how our month on Isla was, he will reply, "It was great!!! Now were in REHAB!"
