Isla Journal entry-December 30, 2007

I am in my “writing” spot (Gladys's roof). It is overcast-no sunrise like there was no setting sun last night. We had a wonderful day at the Castile. Everyone got their fill of snorkelling-Jon to the extent that he was not well last night. Supper at La Lomita’s was delicious but “difficult”. With such a large group we got beers only when dinner was partially served. The pony tailed server had to wait for the beer glasses to empty at the next table before he could rinse them and serve us. I had my favs so I was content.

Back to Castile-lots of reading, cards and beverages. Kate got to go on a very long kayak rise with Uncle Michael. We all got plenty of sun. Coconut ice cream in a waffle cone from Cool topped the night off.

Time is going too quickly. We were going to attempt a golf cart day but it got too complicated. Instead everyone has ventured out on their own-Doug to watch football at Jax, Kate reading over coffee on Hidalgo & Jeremy has hooked up with Ty and Jon. I am with the locals who are having a Sunday beach day in front of Posada del Mar. I am half looking for the Rib man and may join Doug for a beer. Overcast but no rain. Quite pleasant in my mind.
