Trip report - TUESDAY 4/3

Date: 4/8/2007

Tuesday – We’ve had a few days of sun, so decide that it’s golf cart day. We head out to the colonias, find a park for Kenyon and a taco stand for us! Next it’s Punta Sur -we had not walked through the sculptures and down the paths before, so it was a nice morning. I know the art is controversial, but as a “hobby photographer” (in the loosest form) and a person who enjoys art, I found it to be an interesting collection in a natural setting. Kenyon found the ice cream man (seeing a pattern yet?) Some shelling on the caribe side, lunch at Lancheros - best Tix n Chix, wonderful and tender. Excellent pollo tacos too. More cruising, I buy some jewelry from a roadside family stand in the colonias – find Emmanuel bakery that I wanted to try, but no abierto! Return the cart and SIESTA! Jeff is jonesing a bimbo dog, so he and Kenyon have one – I find a cart with some sort of cheese stuffed crepe thing. YUM. Then we head to Miguels again, I’m loving those Pom Margs… We stroll down to Medina tacos, I have the pork, Jeff the chorizo torta. Both excellent. Time for Kenyon’s ice cream fix which she eats upstairs at OM while we have a nightcap. Very cool vibe that place has!
