Trip Report - FRIDAY 4/6 (and Saturday)

Date: 4/8/2007

Friday – another yoga class for me. I am not a Zen, new age kind of person – but I really enjoyed class and the therapeutic aspects. Mental and physical. Jeff and Kenyon head to Jax to see how Tiger is doing in the Masters so far… Kenyon doesn’t like her French toast, but likes Jeffs breakfast tacos. I have good omlette – the hash browns are really good. And I’m fussy about this. Hate bagged / frozen shredded stuff. Good bloody mary’s too. We head again to the Avalon cove to snorkel and hang for the afternoon. We head back to organize and pre-pack. Reward -- A drink at Sancochos to check Tiger again, I’m in the mood for Italian, Kenyon says spaghetti sounds good so we go to Aranchia? (the “tree stump” place). Again, the atmosphere here is so cool, quiet – off the street, good lighting. And the food was great. I had pasta with gorgonzola and walnuts, Jeff had gnocci and Kenyon pasta with red sauce. Their pasta is homemade, the gnocci was wonderful, although Jeff said he was not wowed… I need cake -so we head to Casa Del Café for choc. Cheesecake and coffee. My rash is on fire, so I grab some ice for relief. Kenyon needs her fix so we hit Kool while Jeff heads off for one last Bimbo dog.

Saturday – we are up and packing. At the ferry by 8:30, still time for a marg and a torta! On the 9am ferry and adios till next year (or November if we can swing it!!) No issues getting out or home – other than returning to 30 degrees and snow / sleet in flip flops, gotta love Colorado.
