Up early and made my coffee and organized my stuff for my stay.Did my run to the bank to get Pesos and then to Super Express for supplies.Walked up the street to get my fresh sqeezed Orange Juice from the OJ Guy,mmmmm.
Then headed for the sun to Playa Sol to meet my friends.
Great sun day but made sure to use SPF 30 and leave the beach by 2:30PM for a siesta and a break for my skin on my first day.
Then back to the Ferry to meet my friend who decided to come in on a last minute deal from Alberta for a week stay with me.After dropping off her stuff at the Hotel I had to take her for a famous Pomegranite Margarita at Miguel's to initiate her onto Isla.
We then decided to dig our toes in the sand for dinner at Piccus sitting right by the water. My friend had the Garlic Grouper which she just loved and I had the Shrimp ceviche which was great as usual.Just when we were finishing dinner and paying the la quenta the skies opened again and my friend got to experience an Isla monsoon. We waited under the restaurant roof and then when it subsided after 10 minutes or so we headed off for the semi flooded streets.
I come from Vancouver,BC where we get tons of rain all year round and I have never got used to it but when it monsoons on Isla for 10 minutes and it is still warm I just love it.
Sat out on our balcony and people watched for a bit then to bed early that nite as my friend had a really long day of travelling.
