Up before sunrise. Put the pot on the burner, made instant coffee and went out on the Casa Ixchel deck to watch the sunrise. Yes!!
Walked into town at 7am, went to a few places that weren't serving until 8, and ended up at Elements of the Island. Great Huevos Mexicano, fruit plate, OJ and homemade bread toast.
Walked over to Mega Ciro's and rented a golf cart for three days. In and out in 10 minutes. Headed to Punta Sur, but got there before it opened. Drove up Sac Bajo, then back down and landed at Zamas. NICE spot. This was important because there was a strong southwesterly wind and the landscaping made Zamas a protected spot. Had lunch, in between two Cancun booze cruises that were only there for an hour each. Had the expensive lobster tacos, $280MP and the fantastic lobster quesadillas $95MP, as well as their seafood soup, $90MP. All great, the quesadillas are a great value and the soup was loaded with octopus, conch and shrimp. Enjoyed great service, weather and food.
Headed to town to knock around and ended up at Sergio's. Didn't drink, but watched the sunset. Ended up back at Casa Ixchel by about 7:30pm...in bed by 8:30pm. A great day on Isla.
