My Husband and I arrived on the island just before noon...time for a cold cerveza as we enjoyed the ferry ride over...the gorgeous colors of the ocean and the smells of ocean water...saying a thank you prayer to God and my Husband!! Went over to Avalon staying in the studio suites...but arrived too early...so they held our bags and took a walk along the beach to sunset grill for lunch...excellent as always...my husband had their amazing lentil soup and ceviche and I had their house salad...both excellent...and of course a few coronas...then we headed to the market to get supplies to stock our fridge...mainly cerveza and water..LOL! I also bought extra goodies to create 3 welcome baskets for our friends who are arriving tomorrow...their first time on Isla..Tom, Letta, and their 3 adult children Crystal, Eva and Paul...and Thea Sophie and Theo Jimmy! We all stayed at the Avalon...I made their goodie bags and put them in their rooms before they arrived...I wanted them to feel comfortable! Finally check-in...the studio is great...with a wonderful balcony and ocean view..we can see the Kings Bath from our room! Next off to Jax..we go there every night...to have a few drinks before dinner and catch up sports...and we always meet new people! We missed Henry and Jackie and Micheal..Henry shows us his now 1.5 yr old son...soooooo cute...it was great to see everyone again! Then off to Don Chepo's for dinner...wow! I had the chorizo fondue and chicken cordon bleu and my husband had the red snapper...excellent!! We were asleep by 9 p.m.---a long but wonderful day to start our holiday! (More to come and I have to figure out how the heck to post photos..LOL)
Well, that was a quick week with our friends...time to say good-bye to them...that was so sad...they went back to Miami for their last week of vacation and then home to Canada. We took them to the ferry in a major rain storm ...I was soaked from top to bottom...it was funny though...they vowed they would come back next year to stay with us again...Hey when Tom says that(my Husband's partner) he means it! So we really felt good about making their first trip a memorable one!
We felt so good...the next day we bought time share at Avalon(not all-inclusive!!!)...just free drinks and a one bedroom villa...who needs all inclusive when you have excellent food on Hildago??!! We bought for the location...and space...anyway gotta go...stay tuned for more juice to come!! :p:p:p
