Isla Mujeres & Iberostar Paraiso del Mar August 2011
Saturday August 27
Our last few hours on Isla Mujeres before we continue our adventure at the Iberostar Paraiso. We stayed up late getting the suitcases packed so we could venture out and get a few things done.
This place has been under construction for a while, but it looks like it’s almost finished…
Off to the Super Express to get a supply of peanuts and mayonnaise that will hopefully last until February. Then to Barlito’s for a cinnamon bun to go, yummy!
Back to the room just in time to see Cori and Pete with a golf cart surprising us with a ride to the ferry! Nice! It’s been a very quick 3 days, but I wouldn’t trade them for anything!
Our room at Hotel Xbulu-Ha….
Too soon the ferry arrives and it’s time to walk the dreaded plank ☹ Big hugs to Cori and Pete….can’t wait to see Caribbean Casa when it’s all done…and can’t wait to be there in February!
The skies are looking a bit gray so we sit inside on the ferry…not happy about not being able to say a long last goodbye to Isla….but we’ll be back soon. And the nice thing is that we’re not off to the airport! AGI Tours meets us at the ferry and whisks us away for some pampering at the Iberostar Paraiso del Mar, an all-inclusive that we have been to 17 times over the last 12 years. We are treated to the Presidential Suite and get to enjoy this view for the next 4 days…..
Happy Anniversary to us!
*I won’t post the Iberostar report here…if you are interested you can find it at
