The Jones Boys trade their light sabers for marshmallow roasting sticks.
May the S’mores be with you!
Every day going to and returning from the beach we were greeted by this gentleman, (again, we should have written his name down), on the corner of Hidalgo and Lopez Mateos. He would always greet us with a smile. He was one of our Spanish teachers.
Before we left we bought two of the paintings on cloth that he does. One for us and one for my father-in-law.
He said that one is the Mayan Water God and the other is the Mayan Fertility God.
I bet you can guess which one we gave to my father-in-law. Hint: We have FOUR boys.
The following are some of the tide pool treasures our boys found at the “local’s beach”.
All creatures were returned unharmed to the tide pool from which they came.
Talk about the perfect tee shirts for the Jones Boys……
Juan from Bamboo helping tie on local hand made anklets that the boys bought from the cute girl.
Nahim and the Hogfamily. Nahim is the afternoon front desk clerk at Plaza Almendros. He was extremely kind and was always helping with our Spanish lessons.
When we would look at dinner menus there would often be a drink menu. Of course our boys quickly noticed “Sex on the Beach” on the drink menus. One night Michelle decided to have a “Sex on the Beach” (two-for-one). Our boys were completely thrilled that they were going to see what a “Sex on the Beach” was. I had a sip of Michelles “Sex on the Beach”. Well……… from that night forward our boys had to tell everyone that Mom and Dad had “Sex on the Beach”. Oh, we can’t wait until they are teenagers.
