Day 3 we woke up to pooring rain, because we were there. That lasted until about 3:00 off and on. Deb was snorkeling in the bay at the Avalon for a while that morning. We rented a golf cart for 500 pesos from Ciros. I was in and out of there with the cart in a matter of minutes. Those guys are quick and efficient.
As we headed out of town, it was lightly drizzeling on and off. We went to Punta Sur, and paid to go down to the ruins and the paths to the waters edge. The sea turtles were mating, really really cool.
We then headed to Chuuk Kay for a drink. We have been there twice before, but never in the daytime. It was a downpoor by that time because we were there!! We ran into Isla Zena and Joe Peters from the board. They had a band playing that afternoon. We headed back to town, stopping to drive through the Modelorama to say we did it. (Deb insisted). Later we headed back to Chuuk kay for dinner. Deb had shrimp linguini, and I had the Tik-n-chix fish. Both were very good. When we got back to the Avalon it was pooring again, because we were there!!!
