Isla Newbies - Isla in May - Day Six & Seven

By: LeslieC
Date: 5/18/2005

Day 6
Today we took a taxi into down town to Playa Norte. We rented chairs at Buho's ($12.60, received 3 drink coupons)
and spent the day enjoying the beach. We wanted to snorkel again next to Avalon, but the water was alittle rough. Buho's was a nice place to hang out at. The restrooms were clean and they have a restaurant and two bars. For lunch we had cheeseburgers, they were more like breadcrumb burgers, and the drinks were no better.
After a long day at the beach we went into town for dinner. We stopped at Digame so we could call home and pick up our picture disc. $8.60 for the phone call and disk. Again we went to La Adelitas for tangerine margaritas and coconut shrimp. Dinner and drinks w/tip came to 400 mexican pesos. Head back to the hotel to start packing to go home.

Day 7
Today we leave for Cancun. Everything is packed and check-out was easy. Got a cab to the ferry and were off in no time. Got a cab to the Omni Hotel in Cancun. The Omni was awesome, what a beautiful beach and hotel. Celebrated our anniversary at DiVinci's restraurant. Had a great time.

Buho's - Nice beach with shallow water, nice bathrooms and restaurant. Bars were cool, but drinks were'nt that good.

Omni Hotel Cancun - Awesome hotel, alittle expensive, but worth it.

Isla Mujeres - Beautiful Island, nice people, beautiful beaches, beautiful weather. OK food and drinks.
