Sister and sister's first Isla trip-day 4

This morning, we tried something new...when we were at Mene Mene the night before, they showed us their breakfast menu. It looked good and cheap, so we headed there for our breakfast. We had eggs, bacon, toast, potatoes, beans, orange juice and coffee for like 45 pesos or something. Our waiter asked if we wanted our eggs scrambled or over easy- they turned out to be semi-raw sunny side up. Oh well, we ate them anyways and hoped for the best. We made friends with a cat who seemed to want to live in my beach bag. We named him "Paco" and our waiter told us to take him home with us-then we'd have meeellions of cats. Poor Paco, he looked pretty scruffy when he was laying by my bag, but when he looked up at me, I realized he was perhaps the ugliest cat I've ever seen.

We decided to go to Playa Sol for free beach chairs today, but our plans were somewhat hampered by the sand. It was like slogging through 3 foot snowdrifts. We made it to Carribean Queen (?) and collapsed on beach chairs. We took a few dips in the water, otherwise didn't move off our chairs. We also had lunch there-I think I had pork tacos, sister had chicken fajitas. It was good. It wasn't a bright and sunny day, and we got a little chilled in the afternoon. So, we headed back to our hotel, showered, then realized we hadn't seen a sunset at all. So, we headed back to Carribean Queen to watch the cloudy sunset. We did a little shopping, then headed to Como No's for an appetizer. We shared calamari-very good, I'd like to eat a full meal there sometime. We didn't try the hooka pipe-it was listed on the dessert menu!

We had a coupon for a free bottle of wine at Bucaneros, so we decided to eat supper there. I had a really good Mexican pizza, sister had pasta, which she said was also good. We enjoyed visiting with Greg and Sherry-a couple from Toronto that we met our first day, and ran into numerous times over our stay. After eating, we wandered around and digested, once again ended up with gelato and crepes for our nightcap. We made a pretty early night of it, as we had to leave the next day and wanted to do stuff before our check out.
