Day 23 Friday March 7

“Wind, Wind, Go Away!”

Can you believe it?!!! No sunrise photo today! I can’t remember if I slept in or if it just wasn’t photo worthy. I have a feeling I may have slept in…oops! Well, one missed sunrise out of 25 is allowed. Once we are up and moving, we have breakfast on our balcony where we enjoy the view…

Since the countdown is on, we are off to the beach bright and early where we meet up with the gang near Sunset Grill. Our chairs are arranged and bodies aligned to catch the rays. Soon, the gang is hungry and lunch is served…

Things start falling apart, literally, in the afternoon, when Jan gets eaten by her umbrella!

The day has been super hot and sunny, but a wild wind begins to blow in the afternoon.

The waves are really crashing at the point where Playa Sol meets Playa Norte. We take a walk to have a closer look…

Vince has some fun in the waves…

The sand blast and sea water spray was like a visit to the spa!

The sand lies in piles around the chairs at Sergio’s…

We see that at home too, but it’s usually with snow!

The tower that I used to frame my photos the other day, is down and out!

We head back to our chairs on Playa Norte where the wind is not quite so wild. The clouds have moved in so there isn’t an impressive sunset today. We decide to forego our usual moped tour around the island today due to the wind. That gave us some extra time to just relax before we meet amigos for dinner at Olivia’s.

We are happy to be having dinner at Olivia’s once again. We order a bread and tzatziki appy….very good!

It starts to rain as we eat…same as last time! Good thing we are in the courtyard but under cover and staying dry.

Dinners arrive…let’s eat!

We enjoy a wonderful evening in a beautiful setting with great food and cherished amigos. Somehow, we make room for dessert! Off to Color de Verano for our usual fruit cup…

A perfect end to a perfect day! And now there are only a few more perfect days left!
